Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies Hi-Mind Limited(“Hi-Mind”, “we”) sets when you use the ByHere waitlist site, why we set them, and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Our cookie philosophy

We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site. We only set cookies that are either strictly necessary for the site to work or that you have actively accepted via the consent banner. Until you accept, no optional cookies or third-party scripts are loaded.

2. Strictly necessary

These are set automatically because the site cannot function properly without them. They do not require consent under UK GDPR or the EU ePrivacy Directive.

• Locale — set by our internationalisation layer to remember which language you chose (e.g. en-GB, tr) so the right copy renders on subsequent pages.
• Authentication — if you sign in to the internal admin area, our identity provider (Clerk) sets a short-lived session cookie. Public pages do not set this.

3. Optional, consent-required

We load these only after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, they are never loaded.

• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms (waitlist, ambassador, newsletter) from automated abuse. Loading the reCAPTCHA script causes Google to set a _GRECAPTCHAcookie on its own domain. Without consent, the script never loads, which means form submissions cannot be verified — so the submit buttons stay disabled until you accept. Google's handling of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

4. What we do not use

We do not set, load, or share data with: analytics platforms (no Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.), advertising networks, social widgets that track across sites, fingerprinting services, or cross-site identifiers. If you see a cookie set in your browser that is not listed above, please email us — that is a bug.

5. Local storage

We use a single browser localStorage entry, byhere.cookie-consent, to remember your choice on this banner. This is not a cookie and is never transmitted to our servers.

6. Changing or withdrawing consent

Use the Your preferences panel at the top of this page to flip your choice at any time. Switching to Decline stops us loading any further optional scripts immediately; switching to Accept enables them on the next page render.

Note: once Google's reCAPTCHA has loaded for a session, the cookie they set on their own domain will persist until it expires or you clear it via your browser’s site-data controls — that is outside of our reach.
